A still from a music video, Black Hole For A Heart, where a troubled man seeks answers in games and Tarot cards. Angry and frustrated that the fates seem hostile to his journey, he burns the Tarot cards, revealing that the fates apparently take him for a fool.

A strong side light separates the actor from the dark background, their face lit by the practical light of the card being ignited.

The Thick Of It

Filming a music video, Tinderman, the story of a 70s throwback misogynist in the modern era of smartphones, dating apps, and social media.

The scene called for a timelapse. The protagonist, “Tinderman”, collects mobile phones as the previous ones are blocked. We wanted to show this in a comedic way, the phones quickly appearing and piling up while condoms were removed from the shot in a timelapse fashion.

Two lights simulate some light from the window as well as a warmer overhead light. The slider, used as a motion control rig, can be seen bottom right.
